The truth is that there is something very liberating about a job that requires only my physical exertion, as paltry as that is. I don’t have to invest any of my creative soul in it. While my limbs are performing their purely mechanical duties, my inner self soars wild and free in reverie, over vast landscapes, exploring crannies, following rivers, and scaling the sheer cliffs of my own imagination.
