Pregnancy is typically expected to last around 40 weeks, or nine months. However, there are rare and fascinating cases where pregnancies extend beyond this period, sometimes up to 12 months. Such extended pregnancies are often shrouded in mystery and can bring about unique challenges and complications. Our mother is one of the few who have experienced this phenomenon. According to my mother, my twin and I were carried for 12 months. Unfortunately, my twin did not survive, and this loss has profoundly impacted her life.
