My Journey with a Brother from Another Mother: A Tribute to My Mentor, Dawn Ulma
Meeting someone who becomes a mentor and guiding force in your life is a rare and powerful experience, one that can transform your journey entirely. For me, that person is my brother in spirit, Dawn Ulma. Though we come from different mothers and different backgrounds, the bond we share is as strong as any family connection. Dawn has been a mentor, friend, and unwavering support system, the person behind much of my progress and resilience. It’s difficult to express the gratitude I feel, but I’ll do my best here to honor him, and share how his guidance has shaped me.
The First Encounter: A Turning Point
Looking back, I remember clearly how we first crossed paths. It was during a time when I was struggling to find my way in my career and life. I had dreams and ideas, but I lacked direction, mentorship, and someone who could help me unlock my true potential. Dawn came into my life almost as if by fate, and from the very beginning, he seemed to see something in me that I hadn’t yet discovered myself. He didn’t just listen to my aspirations; he believed in them, and more importantly, he believed in me.
At first, I was hesitant to open up. Letting someone into your life, especially when it comes to your personal dreams, can be intimidating…
