Essentially heaven and hell are not external places but states of mind. The human mind has the extraordinary ability to shape our reality through perception, gratitude, and resilience. By cultivating a positive outlook, we can find meaning in suffering, joy in simplicity, and hope in despair. As John Milton beautifully expressed in Paradise Lost, “The mind is its own place, and in itself can make a heaven of hell, a hell of heaven.” The choice, ultimately, is ours.
